MASTER PLAN OF SHORE-BASED FACILITIES

FOR THE GLOBAL MARITIME DISTRESS AND SAFETY SYSTEM

(GMDSS MASTER PLAN)

1 This circular supersedes GMDSS.1/Circ.21 and contains the latest information based on replies received from Member States.

2 Member States are invited to check their national data in the annexed information for accuracy, and provide the necessary updates highlighting the changes from this edition, as soon as possible, and to respond to MSC.1/Circ.1382/Rev.2, if they have not already done so. The Secretariat can be contacted at: ncsr@imo.org .

3 At the request of the Martime Safety Committee, the Secretariat is currently in the process of migrating this master plan into the new GMDSS Master Plan module of the Global Integrated Shipping Information System (GISIS). Some modifications have been introduced in the attached annexes to facilitate the systematic migration of the information. Once migration is completed, Member States will be invited to verify their respective information.

4 Member States are invited to bring the information to the attention of all parties concerned.
